That 1870 census shows Amanda Dykes, age 18, living with Patsy Dykes. I assume this is the ancestor mention in your post. The Amanda named in the estate records of Dewey Jones was a grown woman in 1849, approximately three years before your gg-mother was born.

While researching my own Teschner family, I recently found a Johann Teschner born 8 Jul 1845 in Klein Brunau, West Prussia, and baptized on 20 Jul in the Evangelisch church in Rosenberg, West Prussia (now Susz, Poland). This Johann Teschner was the son of Gottfried Teschner and Elisabeth Thimm, who were married in the nearby town of Gross Albrechtau (the records are microfilmed with the Finckenstein records) on 22 Sep 1835. Gottfried Teschner's sister Louise was my third-great grandmother who came to Cleveland, Ohio.

I am not certain that my Johann Teschner is identical with your John Teschner, but I think the near-perfect coincidence of birth date and father's name is quite suggestive and would bear further investigation. I will check the Rosenberg records next week to see if I can find further information about my Johann Teschner's marriage.

I believe I am a descendant of an "Amanda Dykes" from Sumter County Georgia. Not sure if it is the same Amanda that is listed here. Would like to have more information. My great great grandmother was named Patsy Dykes and she and her kids are listed in the Sumter County 1870 US census
