This Johann Teschner was the son of Gottfried Teschner and Elisabeth Thimm, who were married in the nearby town of Gross Albrechtau (the records are microfilmed with the Finckenstein records) on 22 Sep 1835. Gottfried Teschner's sister Louise was my third-great grandmother who came to Cleveland, Ohio. I am not certain that my Johann Teschner is identical with your John Teschner, but I think the near-perfect coincidence of birth date and father's name is quite suggestive and would bear further investigation. I will check the Rosenberg records next week to see if I can find further information about my Johann Teschner's marriage.
